Thumb Region’s Largest Motorcycle Run Expects to Draw Hundreds of Riders

 Aerial view of Melvin, MI (Photo credit: Scott’s Studio)The rumble of motorcycles will echo throughout the communities of Melvin and Marlette on Saturday, August 12th for the 13th annual Hog Town Run—a major fundraising event sponsored by Hog Town Inc. of Melvin, Michigan.

On August 12th, registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Melvin Park located along Main Street in Melvin, MI. A concerted departure will take place at 12 p.m. to travel to the Hospice Residence, located at Marlette Regional Hospital in Marlette, for a blessing of the bikes. The registration fee (donation) is $20 per person, which includes a $5 raffle ticket. Evening activities will include a pig roast, bike games, burnouts, live entertainment by “Greedy Habit”, and a 50/50 raffle. Rustic camping is available for a donation.
