New Nursing Management at CCH

Two new nursing management personnel have joined Caro Community Hospital (CCH). Deidre Bringold, RN, BSN, has been named as Vice President of Nursing and Mandy Savage, RN, CEN is the new Assistant Vice President of Nursing.

With 13 years of experience in the healthcare field, Bringold has worked as a Nursing Assistant, Registered Nurse, Nurse Educator, Nurse Coordinator, and most recently a Nurse Manager. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Healthcare Administration from SVSU. She is excited to bring her experience and passion for healthcare to Caro Community Hospital.

Bringold will plan and coordinate nursing services for the hospital as well as the physician offices, managing all nursing staff and nurse supervisors in the hospital’s three nursing units and physician offices to ensure the provision of quality care. She is responsible for recruiting, hiring, supervising and continuing education of nursing staff, including setting a culture of quality. She will also monitor the performance of contractors within the nursing units and work to help ensure the efficient use of nursing resources.  Bringold lives in Reese with her husband and two children. Here at CCH, she will be in charge of the Pharmacy, Social Services, Med/Surg and Surgery Departments as well as our physician clinics.

Savage comes to CCH with the benefit of more than 20 years of nursing experience. Starting as an entry-level nurse, she served as a charge nurse for a Progressive Coronary Care Unit and then an Emergency Department. In the years following, much of her career has been spent in nursing leadership positions. Most recently, she was a Clinical Coordinator in an Emergency Care Center for nearly a decade.

Bringold has participated in the education of current and future nurses serving as an Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course Instructor/ Director and a Trauma Nurse Core Course Instructor/Director. She has also taught Dysrhythmia classes and Geriatric Emergency classes. Savage has her CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) credentials and remains current in ACLS and NIH stroke certification. She is currently pursuing an advanced nursing degree at Ferris State University.

Savage lives in Kingston with her husband and two children. Here at CCH, she will supervise our Emergency and Trauma Departments as well as our new Urgent Care.

“I am excited to have two experienced leaders join the Caro Community Hospital family. Both Bringold and Savage bring a wealth of expertise into the hospital,” said Marc Augsburger, CCH President and CEO. He went on to state that "This is part of our continuing commitment to find qualified staff to provide high quality patient care. We are working to recruit highly skilled individuals and fill the right roles to enable our facilities to field a full complement of staff."
